Linear Guidance Systems for the Food Industry

Linear guidance systems only achieve maximum productivity if they meet the special requirements of the food and beverage production process. Among other things, these include using food-safe materials such as stainless steel, as well as a sealing and lubrication concept that is coordinated precisely to the loads.Liquids containing sugar or salt, aggressive cleaning agents, and extreme temperatures can impact the function of linear systems.

FAQs on Linear Guidance Systems in Food and Beverage Production

Which lubrication solution is appropriate for linear guidance systems?

For monorail guidance systems, there is a lubrication and sealing concept that is specifically coordinated for the food industry. It features front and auxiliary wipers, longitudinal seals, long-term lubrication units, and a range of relubrication components.

How can a linear system be optimally coordinated for the application?

Monorail guidance systems can be precisely adapted for their application through a wide range of components and special accessories. These include, for example:

  • Different carriage designs

  • Different guide rails (standard, can be screwed on from below, with cover strip, etc.)

  • Damping carriages for roller monorail guidance systems

  • Comprehensive range of wipers with various seal types in kit form for individual fitting

Is it possible to extend the maintenance intervals without impacting the product quality?

On the four- and six-row linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies KUVE-B and KUSE and the roller monorail guidance systems of the RUE-F series, the lubricant reservoirs are integrated directly on the raceways. This increases the quantity of lubricant in the carriage which extends the maintenance intervals.
